2010 Humongo Nation is complete, and the Humongo Nation crew is safe at home! Thanks for your tweets, blog posts and Humongo love! 8.2.2010
The Humongo Nation tour kicked off in the summer of 2007 in New York City. This was a bold, never-been-done-before experiment by a small, independent agency. Our plan was to drive across the country, meet the brands and companies that we admired and share their stories. We had an idea, a dream, and a rough plan for how things might go. In reality, we had no idea.
The first tour featured a rented van cabled with cameras, internet and loads of duct tape. What we discovered while barreling across the country was that people enjoy living vicariously through a creative agency road trip, and have been tremendously inspired by the ground breaking brands we've met and profiled along the way.
The tour has since evolved into a worldwide celebration of creativity and innovation, viewed by tens of thousands of business people worldwide and shared across blogs, the twittersphere and the deepest tubes of the internet. Over its four year history, the Humongo Nation tour (originally branded Plaid Nation) has profiled some of the most forward thinking brands and people in the country. Tour visits have included meet ups with Twitter, Ford Motors, Sony Pictures, Fedex, Sprint, Threadless, Segway, Brad Pitt's Make it Right Foundation, Zappos and countless other innovators that dot the Humongo Nation.
This year's vehicle will be a Ford Flex, tricked out with live webcams, Sprint Wifi, and stories will be told through tweets, blog posts, daily video recaps and even a food blog. We're looking forward to discovering, profiling and sharing the stories of tomorrow's innovators, and hope that you're watching it all live!
